Abstract
Methods: The study uses a quantitative approach with an explanatory survey method. Data was obtained through the distribution of questionnaires to Islamic banking customers who use wadiah and mudharabah-based products. Data analysis was carried out through instrument quality testing and testing of intervariable relationships using an inferential statistical approach.
Results: The results of the study show that the Wadiah contract has a positive effect on the development of Islamic banking products because it is able to increase customer trust through aspects of fund security, ease of transaction and service transparency, besides that the mudharabah contract also provides a strong positive influence through a fair, transparent and in accordance with sharia principles, the findings of the study show that the two contracts together are an important factor in increasing the use of Islamic banking products, expanding market share, and strengthening the intermediation function of Islamic financial institutions. This research also contributes to the development of Islamic financial intermediation theory and Muslim consumer behavior theory by showing that religiosity and economic considerations can run simultaneously in shaping customer decisions.
Conclusion and suggestion: The implications of the research emphasize the importance of strengthening the implementation of sharia contracts, improving service quality, digital innovation and Islamic finance education to support the sustainable and competitive growth of the Islamic banking industry.
